The Stories of Haven: Power Struggles | by J.A. Giunta Feb. 15, 2011 | 3590 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: J.A. Giunta was born in Brooklyn, New York, in November of 1969. Though he spent most of his childhood growing up on Long Island, he has been living in Arizona for more than twenty-five years. Joe started writing stories at an early age, creating adventures for his pen and paper Dungeons & Dragons campaigns on a Commodore 64. Spooled from a dot-matrix printer, that first stapled manuscript has not survived, but it has evolved over the years to form The Ascension trilogy. His first Fantasy novel, The Last Incarnation, was published in February of 2005. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Arizona State University, he is both an avid reader and gamer. He currently writes full-time. He currently lives with his wife, Lori, and six-year old daughter, Ada Rose, in the perpetual summer that is central Arizona. He credits all of his work to the advent of air-conditioning. |

Ekotren Vs. Nonpoint | by Jestin Lightner April 11, 2010 | 6286 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: I learned how to play guitar from the devil himself. I have a small music promotion company called Donut Incident. Feel free to check out it's myspace page and check out some new music from some awesome friends of mine. I wrote short stories and stuff for my D&D groups throughout the years and they were mostly oriented around the planes because planescape was cool back in the nineties and spelljammer was old. I also wrote a five hundred page poetry book based on love and LSD trips back in the nineties while I was playing in a band called Hollow and plotting to take over the music world from a garage and a donut shop. Whatever, later on in life I was sittin in jail and was like, wtf, I can write better than this crap they are force feeding us and so I started to finish The Shadowbelt after first developing the idea way back in the day and throwing up some chapters online back in my Ft. Myers days. Unfortunately the last half of the book went missing cause I'm a cluts so I have cut the second part back a bit and have rewritten it in a way cool fashion and it has taken a completely different turn for the better. Really happy with the results so please feel free to check out "The Shadowbelt 2 "Divided Wings". Anyone out there have any idea how many music videos have been based off of my work? It's been an honor and a privelege overall and I hope that even if you end up not liking my books you will at least get turned on to some cool music while you are here. Going Under | by Katrina Joyner-Belcher Oct. 21, 2009 | 423 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Since the age of 14, Katrina has loved to tell stories - usually of the fantasy or science fiction variety. Her work has been read worldwide, loved by many. Although her art often bends towards the dramatic and, dare we say, cliche she is often heard to say that her sense of humor is how she makes a living. She's funny, witty, and deeply in love with Three Musketeer bars. All other bars stand without comment. She is a member of Friends of Lulu and fiercely believes in the support of writers, comic artists, and single mothers. This has nothing to do with her fitting in either of these categories, even if she does or has done so at one time in her life. If pressured, she will elaborate on her plans for global domination using nothing but some golf balls and a pink tutu. Other than that, she claims that her hair is exactly a meter long and all else would bore you. |
