Author bio:
I live in Australia and this is the first full length book that I have 'put out there' so to speak. Imagine me quite literally quaking with fear as I anxiously check to see if anyone has posted a review about my book. Even a bad review would be welcome! Why? Because I need to know. Have I been wasting my time writing? Have I virtually given up my social life (not to mention my nonexistent love life) for something I am absolute crap at? Or is it possible, no matter how slim the chances are, that I can tell a story that others will enjoy. Some days, it’s what keeps me going – the sheer possibility. I am driven to write. Ideas fill my head every minute of the day while I’m at work. I am constantly scribbling down thoughts on anything I can get my hands on at the time. Writing can be such a lonely business in many ways, and it is hard to get honest feedback from family... 'Yeah – love your book.’ 'Er – thanks – but are you sure you’re not just being nice – that you don’t want to hurt my poor little feelings – or cause a family feud?’ Honestly, I would have preferred some honest criticism. Something I could work with to strengthen my stories. Every book has faults. When I am not writing, I can be found working at a high school, supporting students with learning and social difficulties who are struggling to find their place in a world that can be far too cruel. That is my other passion in life (after writing and my son). Thanks for reading, I hope you enjoy my story, and if not, I hope you can take a moment to tell me why.

Author bio:
Before becoming a full-time fiction writer, Rick spent nearly twenty-five years in Corporate America. After a hungry stint as a fresh-faced, straight-from-college stockbroker, he set aside the glamour of Wall Street, along with the thousands of friends he’d made during dinner-hour cold calls, for a career as an Accounting Assistant in the Seattle office of a large reinsurance company. Once on the corporate ladder, Rick proved that his many childhood years spent climbing trees hadn’t been a complete waste of time by quickly climbing to the position of department manager. But corporate winds are no less predictable than any other type of wind, and climbing in the wind is never a good idea. Rick suddenly found himself on the wrong side of the country when his company was forced to scale back its operations ten years later. They regrouped in New England. He remained in the Northwest. Waving good-bye to the moving vans as they motored down the road and disappeared into the distance, Rick carefully considered his next career. He became a corporate consultant and ran himself happily ragged for the next nine years. Traveling the country and racking up more frequent flyer miles than even a CPA could conveniently count, Rick helped his clients work through a variety of business issues, including liquidity problems, external reporting matters, process mapping, and workflow concerns. Rick’s final years in Corporate America were spent at one of the major insurance groups. As a VP, Controller, and then an acting CFO, he traveled from one coast to the other putting the lessons he’d learned during his time as a consultant to good use. His current career as a fiction writer takes him to places much further away than any cross-country jetliner ever could, and he seldom needs to leave his writing loft to get there.

I have been writing since my daughter, now a young woman, was very small as a way for me to unwind and entertain her. At least that was what I told myself at the time. Even now I mostly write fantasy for children and young adults in anything from short story to novel length. I live at Durham, England, with a varying number of British Shorthair cats which I show and breed the occasional litter from. Any spare time when I am not working, writing or showing the cats I use in the garden which always seems to require far more attention than I can give it! The Lost Sorcerer is the first book I have published on Smashwords. I am currently preparing the first of The Dragon World series; The Bonding Crystal, for publication

Why? Why not? Its fun! Today there are many freedoms to express one's creativity and share it with the world! Who will you inspire? Got for it! Purchase an ebook for your family. Anyone who buys an ebook has permission to make their own video of the books. Join in the endeavor to read to children all over the world through the internet. ABOUT THE AUTHOR: Dawn Maria Brady has been a military spouse for nearly 30 years. For many of those years she worked in daycare centers. She also ran a home daycare for seven years. In addition to supplying meals for the children, she made breakfast for parents before they headed off to work. She wrote and illustrated many stories for her own children as well as her daycare "babies." Story time was one of the favorites besides water play. The family has had many places to call home although Dawn Maria and the children have never left the states. Her husband was the one who traveled all over the world. As a military spouse and family, you have to be adventurous, independent, since your husband is gone for a year at a time, dedicated and most of all, able to go with the flow and accept changes as they happen. Living a military life has hardships and is emotional. When the soldiers leave for a tour in a war zone, we often wonder in silence as we watch the ceremony and say our good-byes; who isn't coming home. This is not a job. Its a way of life that tests a person in ways never imagined. It makes you stronger, deeper and rearranges priorities. Dawn Maria told her husband, "I can hold on as long as you can! We are in this together!" THE FUTURE: Dawn Maria is working on new children's books, "Leaping Frog Brags" which is a rewrite from an original 22 years ago, "Read and Do", and "Word Play." Also look for Story Rock, a young adult novel to be released in 2012. Thank you for visiting and see the facebook page link below for more updates.

I am Gerrard T Wilson, the crazymad writer of children's stories. Although my works are primarily aimed at children, adults can and, indeed do, read them with as much interest and excitement. I like to think that my work has a universal appeal, spanning the generations, the sexes and even the continents. I have written so many stories, including 'Tales of the Extraordinary' (short stories with a unique, sometimes chilling appeal), 'Ali-bonkers', 'Fizzy Cherry Cola', and 'The Witches', also 'Forget the Celebrities -Read about My Crazy Life' (weird and bizarre tales from my absolutely crazy-mad life), 'Alice on Top of the World' (a follow on story to Alice in Wonderland, and Through the Looking Glass), 'HARRY, oh, she is a ROTTER (she's bad - and has lost her Magical Marbles), and 'Jimmy, the Glue Factory and Mad Mr Viscous' (Jimmy is trying to stop Mr Viscous from rendering the horses into GLUE). I also wrote 'Nursery Rhymes - MY CRAZYMAD WAY' (my own unique slant on some familiar rhymes), 'My CRAZYMAD Poems' (a collection of strange, oddball, oftentimes bizarre poems, including 'Are you Normal?', 'Conkers Bonkers', 'Louco's Preferred Drink', 'Sparky Parents' , and 'I'm NOT Mad'). There is also 'Bolf' (a Troll whose idea of a having good time is eating empty cigarette packets!). You will also read about 'Fle' (an extremely old elf who lives in a fertilizer mine), 'Fairy Tales' including 'The Three Faerie Sisters', the 'Little Brown Frog', and 'A Christmas Story'. Next up is 'God, dog and Beelzebub' (what (what on earth can that be about?), 'Greengrocer Jack and the Talking Cabbages' (trying to stop a giant Yam from taking over the world), 'Poor Jane', and 'A Punt across the Thames' (I almost drowned that day!). Last, but certainly not least, I also wrote Wot, Nott, Kakuri and the HU BA HOU', a series (three quadrilogies) featuring the oddball Outlanders, Wot and Nott. Instead of giving your child that extra toy for his or her birthday, a book is a far better option. Preferably one of mine, I am sure they will treasure it long after their toys are abandoned at the back of that dusty old wardrobe. Signed: The Crazymad Writer - ARRRGH.

Hi there. I'm a guy who enjoys creating new things, ranging from short stories to poetry [children's too] and thus writing is an enjoyable pastime for me, beit psycho fiction, sci-fi, supernatural or fantasy. Art is my second love, and when the mood strikes me, I'll do a landscape painting on box canvas, using acrylic paints. Very relaxing! I usually give them away to friends and family. As for my writings, I've had some works published in paperback and hardback down the years; short story and an assortment of poems. I've dabbled with screenwriting in the past, which is quite an enjoyable, yet complex style. My taste in music is varied too, if the sound is catchy, then I like it. Here I'll mention I do love Lady GaGa's music, I could listen to her songs 24/7 without getting bored - I love 'em! Righto, there you have it, a little bit of me and my favourite things. I'd like to thank those who have read this short bio, and also those who have left comments about my ebooks - much appreciated! For those authors who need a Cover Page, visit my website and view my ready-made eBook Cover Pages that you can purchase for £2.50p - inclusive of your Title and preferred Author Name.

Hi, I live and write in North Dakota. I like to write children's fiction, inspirational pieces, how-to articles, fantasy fiction, and science fiction. Talents I have received from my mother's side of the family are art, music, and writing. I am a christian and I love God and am forever grateful for the gifts He has allowed me to have and use for His glory. I also like to play guitar and keyboard. I am married and have 3 grown children. I like to teach others, encourage people to keep going in their endeavors and I like cats, dogs and horses, not necessarily in that order. I moved to North Dakota with my family in 1996 and got there just in time for the 500 year flood, the winter that dumped 108 inches of snow on the region and an ice storm that knocked out power for 5 days. Cool huh?
