| Author bio: I am a teenage African American poetess trying to open up a new avenue in the world of Dragons: Space Dragons!! And I WILL make it "work." My stories are mostly flash fiction, short stories and (best of all) poetry. About The Society On Da Run series: Earth has seen many visitors, from space dragons colonizing the planet in Pre Cambrian times to intelligent insectoids and benevolent owl gods. Follow the adventures of a wide cast of characters as they encounter the dragons of the Draconizica empire, and Ashuton Karrucci, the god of dragons going about his daily life in Italy. From a story about a small town ravaged by an airborn dragon virus, to a story about a cruel dragon king on a terraformed Mars, to the story of a girl pregnant with a Dragon god, these stories are not bound by the norms of the Fantasy and Science Fiction genres. Meeting with Fate | by James MacArthur Sep. 16, 2011 | 1807 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Hi, I'm 29 years old and i've been writing for nearly 10 years and i've enjoyed modest success. My stories focus on the darker side of fiction with the protaganist in my novel being a semi retired mob enforcer, who thinks nothing of using torture as a means to an end. Some of my short stories are lighter, having a humourous approach to them. I would like to end this profile by saying thanks for taking to time to read it and that I hope you take the time to read my stories. |

Breakthrough | by Tom Morris April 23, 2012 | 1801 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Started reading SF and Fantasy in the 1950's (yes I am that old), Galaxy and Astounding magazines mainly. Have been a fan ever since. Horror as well - especially Lovecraft and Derleth. All time favourite author is the great Jack Vance, but recently have found Neal Asher - fantastic! Have fooled around with writing short stories for a long time, but couldn't be bothered to submit them. Found Smashwords and decided to take the plunge. It's rewarding to see that people are downloading my stories and adding them to their libraries. Hope that they find them enjoyable. I play GuildWars a lot - hence the picture - that's my character, a necromancer of course! |

Forgotten Forest of the Innocent was a story she wrote about ten years ago, while taking a break from her many English assignments as an undergraduate student. It was a lot of fun, and her wish is that others will enjoy reading it as much as she enjoyed writing it. Violet's dream is to become a well-known fiction writer. Poetry is something she enjoys writing as a stress relief.

| Author bio: I'm a married thirty something who holds down a job and writes sporadically on the side. I do more reading and writing than I will ever do of cleaning. Besides, who wants to clean when you can use your imagination and have a household of servants doing it for you. I do like to cook, but my husband is lucky if there is food available when a good book is in my hands. A plea from this author: As much as reviews sometimes are painful, I do enjoy constructive criticism. Please leave a review of my work(s) especially, if you really thought they were good:) |

Giuliana and the Giant (Snippets) | by David Elvar Dec. 19, 2009 | 1797 words | Read a sample |
| Author bio: Who am I? A children's author. I cover all market sectors from those aimed at the very young (often to be read to them) up to the Young Adult market. All my books slot into specific imprints according to length and target audience. As follows... Snippets - Shorter books aimed at younger readers or adults looking for something to read to them at bedtime. BratReads - No, not books for brats, books that are themselves a little brat-ish. By turns, funny, awkward, anarchic or just a little thoughtful. TeenReads - As the name implies, books for teenagers. Adventurous and rebellious. Next in the series: 'No, Papa'. Interludes - A series of short books aimed at the Young Adult/Crossover audience. Mystical, mysterious and sometimes a little scary, you might want to read these with the light on. Tales of the Night - Full length ghost stories for the YA/Crossover market. Next in the series: 'Heretic'. Anything not included in the above is a stand-alone novel for the YA/Crossover market. One title so far - 'Continuum' - to be followed by 'Mount 37', a dystopian novel set in the uncomfortably near future. All my books subject to translation can now be found here: https://www.smashwords.com/profile/view/boglebooks/authors#published I may be contacted on ghosthunter457(at)gmail(dot)com |
