I woke up and saw nothing but darkness and heard the echo of rocks and dirt settling, I got up and thought to myself and then remembered that there was a switch to turn on the emergency power but I didn’t now where, so I felt around the walls until I felt a circular object in my hand. I pulled down on it and the power kicked in and the lights turned on revealing the walls of the mine and the equipment. I went over to an emergency case (a case that has supply’s in it) and pulled out a flashlight. I quickly went off in search of others because being alone isn’t a good feeling. I walked around looking for other people, and then I heard a small yelp. I ran towards the noise and found a scientist trapped under some rubble, I quickly dug him out, I could tell he was injured though because his leg was swollen and he was limping. I asked him if he was ok and replied with a nod and we continued on. He started talking to me and talking about his life to keep his mind of his aching foot or so I suspected it was aching, anyway he was telling me about how his name was tod and how this reminded him of the time at camp when he was hiding and something happened and he was trapped. As I walked along I remembered why I come down here, to get a friend. I asked the scientist if he knew my friend heather but the scientist sadly shook his head and I continued on in search for her. On the way I studied the walls of the mine and I looked really damaged, damaged enough that it might collapse even more and all of us (suspecting there were more people here) get crushed and never see daylight again. I rounded a corner and saw a series of steps that where really just podiums standing on the floor because the rest of the floor around them had collapsed. So I told the scientist to hop on his good foot because the podiums where so small they could only be hopped on with one foot, so I went first and made across. The scientist then jumped slowly so he didn’t hurt his leg he made it to the middle when the stair shifted and it made him hit his good leg even harder. He shrieked in agony and fell over falling to the rocky floor below, I was sort of said because his was a nice guy and now I had no one to talk to but I guess I was lucky because I still had my own life. I walked along some more and then it happened the lights started to flicker on and off, I figured well the emergency power can’t last forever. I turned on my flashlight and the lights instantly turned off I was now back in the dark but at least I had a flashlight. Then I heard it, a strange buzzing noise and then I heard screams I heard it from the scientist that I thought had been dead. The lights flickered back on and I ran toward the scientist. All what was left on the floor of the mine was a Skelton. I thought to myself oh my ggod wwhat was that!? I ran quickly searching for a shelter just in case whatever those things where came back. Near a wall I saw a shed that looked like it was for storing power tools and mining equipment. I got in the shed and made up my mind and told myself I going to stay in here for a while just until I sure those whatever they are, are gone, then I’ll go out and look for my friend, So he waited.
