Kraken

It was suppose to be a great summer vacation for Ralph and his friends, right? Wrong. They stayed at Uncle bob’s house. They did everything that trope teenagers and adults do on vacation. What the topers do is have sex, drinking, partying, shouting and “having fun.” Ralph’s friend Ann took no part in any of it. It felt very stupid. Instead she sat there looking pretty.

One night, while everyone was having fun, she ventured out to the lake. The moon was high and transparent white. Her eyes saw a tentacle rise out of the water and it grabbed her by my her leg and dragged her under the cold, lifeless blue waters. She was face-to-face with sharp teeth and horrid breath that stank of death and vomit. She died instantly as the Kraken bit down on her body and chewed away.

The next day everyone came out. They thought Anna went somewhere and would be back. Everyone was by the lake and a lot of people were in the water. The kraken silently dragged them down and fed on them, one by one. When people started to notice, it was too late.

The fatalities had befallen them.

They rushed back to the mansion to pack their belongings and go

Ann’s boyfriend, Ralph, stayed at the lake for a little while longer. He saw the Kraken rising out the water and that’s when he saw the fabric of the girl’s dress in the Kraken’s tooth. He wanted revenge on the unholy being. But his father forced him to pack and leave. They returned home and went to the police with evidence but the police found it laughable. So the police sent in one officer to investigate. The young officer took a dive into the water. His underwater phone was loud and clear for the people at the receiving end. Ralph listened as he heard the policeman scream. The officers could hear everything. It was only then that they believed.

Ralph, his father and an armada of police, SWAT and army men went to the lake. The kraken anticipated the arrival of his meal. He emerged from the poisonous waters. Gunshots started firing, and there were dozens of screams. Ralph took a fallen soldier’s weapon and used it on the kraken. He fired the whole clip at the creature’s face. When it screamed in the horror of the pain, Ralph didn’t stop. He made sure the creature’s face was destroyed and bloodied. The creature slithered down with a low hiss, and its dead body later emerged.

“Is it dead?” asked his father.

“It is. I know it is.” Said Ralph.
