You Dial Me Up, I’m A Telephone

Most of the time I call you

I find you in bed, and this is true!

Other times I call, the phone is off the hook

And you wanted to be listed in the phone book ?

You dial me up, I’m a telephone

That system you have, makes me moan

You dial me up , I’m a telephone

It’s easier to reach you when you aren’t home !

A lot of the time I call around ten o’clock

It’s like I have to watch you like a hawk !

Then in the evenings, it’s the same thing

Now your phone can’t ding-a-ling !

And this is madness, I say !

This happens day after day !

You have to remember to check your phone

That system causes me to moan

You dial me up, I’m a telephone

I can’t call you when you’re home

You dial me up, I’m a telephone

I can’t even get a dial tone !

The Willard Incident

Fifteen till eight on Sunday

Jamie threw the ice away

Trinity on the other hand

Ate a sandwich made of sand

Then while watching cartoons

She fell down on a spoon

Goodness, Trinity get back up !

Jamie is no bigger than the cup

Other Version -

It was almost eight on Sunday

Jamie threw the contents of the cup away

Meanwhile, Trinity was eating a sandwich

Prior to a blue rubber ball getting pitched

During some cartoon program

Trinity fell on a spoon full of jam

She suddenly got right back up !

Seems that Jamie is the size of a cup

Next Twelve Years

Come on in, let’s talk awhile

You cheer us up with a that smile

Time passes along so quickly

I remember when we’d visit weekly

You bring sunlight into our lives

Just before the evening arrives

What are your goals, gives as a peek

We hope you find whatever you seek

Take care and stay in touch

We think of you very much !

Until we meet again someday

Remember for you, we will pray !

Star Withdrawal

Up on the hill is a steel framed star

High wattage bulbs to be seen from afar

A traditional spiritual experience

We go crazy from its absence

Night after night we look for the shine

It should be lit up any time

I have moments when I can’t recall

How to cure this star withdrawal

I can’t clear my mind

From the star I can not find

I am having strange symptoms

Because of the star you’ve taken from me !

Light up that star up on the hill

As you can see, for me it is a thrill

Shining all the way down Main Street

During this season it is really neat !

On The Road To Birk

Early Sunday morning as they walk

Into the church many flock

People got saved, to get through

Not afraid to die, but no one wanted to

The weather cool, but refreshing

Familiar hymns they would sing

O Lord give us a few more days

And forgive us for our evil ways

It’s the future that we fear, I assume

Facing that day of personal doom

Although there is that guiding light

Whether it come day or night

After the service had ended

The nap angel had descended

Time moves on ever so quickly

There is serenity from here to Cherokee

Broken Gates

This is a true story of some broken gates

Caused by a Man who the owner still hates

It was an event in history of amazement

On a day when thick steel was easily bent

On the day back when the Son of God died

All of the demons quickly ran to hide

A great earthquake was suddenly felt

Within the much religious Jewish belt

Jesus descended into a place called Sheol

It was the place of the dead, it was very full

Soon after Jesus gave up His spirit

The gates of the dead received a hard hit !

This is what caused the earthquake

And He did it just for the saint’s sake

While down in the land of the dead

Jesus stepped up to Satan and said

It is time for My people to be set free !

Apparently, you don’t realize the power of Me !

My crucifixion was of My own choice !

You didn’t have a vote, nor a voice

And I will be back again someday !

You and your army won’t stand in My way !

Satan was in trembling shock

As he listened to the Mighty Rock !

The little demons listened from corners

Shaking and crying like feeble mourners

When Jesus left Satan’s smoky home

He also tore apart the red fiery dome

Satan lied to his army of demons that day

As soon as the Son of God went away

Listen ! Jesus was bluffing; He didn’t win

I control all evil that controls the sin !

Forgiveness doesn’t exist, forget it !

Then Satan tried to close the gates that Jesus hit

The gates were bent beyond repair

Satan lied again and said, I don’t care !

Satan lost a lot of color that very morning

As he heard of the King of kings warning

Never has Hell ever been the same

All for the believer’s in Jesus’ name

This is the true accounts of the news

From the demons who always lose

This is the great news up above Hell

Shouting loud from the church bells

Jesus is the Victor in all situations !

Whether we are hard at work, or on vacation 1

Even if we have to face a double edged sword !

Jesus remains the King of kings

…and the Lord of lords !
