Tall Paul and Sally Malou

Paul is tall.

Paul lives in a house with no roof at all.

He likes the rain to come in.

He likes the sun to come in.

He likes the wind to come in.

Up the street lives Sally Malou.

Sally lives in a house too.

Hers is high off the ground

because

she enjoys climbing on stairs.

One day

when the wind blew strong

and Paul was flying his kite,

and Sally was climbing her stairs,

a carpenter came.

He built a new house.

It was right between Sally’s house and Paul’s house.

The house had only one door.

It had no windows.

It had a big red bowl on the front porch.

“Who is our new neighbor?”

Sally asked Paul.

“Who would have such a strange looking house?”

Paul asked Sally.

Then soon she arrived and moved her things in.

“This house is perfect for someone like me, who is a small friendly dog.”
