Not in the light, but in the darkness
The darkness casting a shadow upon my soul, engulfing it
Darkness so deep it tries to swallow my very being
But it can’t
It cannot take from me what I don’t have
I gave myself to another, and she protects me
Good and kind, she shines her light
Casting away the darkness
Darkness, does not feed today, but it will not die
It waits.
