Poetry. Whats the whole concept? I don’t think of poetry as a concept…it’s just where transcripts of my head can be placed…wherever my head is at in that moment! That’s why you find funny stuff as well as serious stuff. Weather translated through something very deep or me just rambling... I’ve looked at life from lots of different angles. I have a lot of great things in my life…the career, the car, the money, the home, etc… But now when I read some of things I’ve written over time, its basically a realization that all the things that I’ve always strived for because I thought they were important, really are not important. Now, when I write poetry, it’s just a reminder to me & also me firing at people to say do you think they’re important….because they’re not. Think about it, we as people (the American way) kind of have a tendency to think of ourselves in a very privilege way….like we are the super power of the world, & with that thought process, we are always somewhat removed of the bad things, the REALLY bad things, the mayhem on this planet…out of sight, out of mind. I mean this war, children missing, homelessness, pointless killings, people dying, all the chaos that has happened and keeps happening is a wake-up call…it’s the destruction of the world right at our own footsteps…civilization as we know it is collapsing. We can’t go on living in this dream world pretending that we are safe. We have a responsibility as that "super power" to really do something about it. Basically, the only way to heal everything around us is by putting everything in perspective. The number one way of doing so, is looking in front of you...it's right there where you'll find everything you need... LOVE! The point of what I am saying is that if you can see the love directly in front of you, you can then see the love that is all around you…therefore you will share that love and it will spread faster than any terrible disease or any hole in the ozone. I know I have everything I want and need because of what is in front of me.
