There’s so many things I want to make my property,

including you.

To Worship You

I decided to worship you
the moment I met you
such vulnerable position

To want you
not being sure
if that was a good decision

This Ending

You shattered my world
You knew all along
You used me so much
That now I am crushed

You reached my essence
I glowed in your presence
But you didn’t care
Whether or not I was there

You pulled me in
I thought, from within
I feel sorry for entering
I feel bad for this ending

****

What is You

The intensity with time
faded everything we knew.
You took what was mine
so I started all anew.

With the seasons went the scars
and the memories subsided.
I guess the heart heals when it’s apart
of everything it ever wanted.

You worry me so much.
You always made me ill.
And I confess that by your touch
what is you affects me still.

breakfast with me

It makes no difference
up or down
if you’re not flying
with me
There’s no reason
for taste
if you’re not
eating breakfast with me

Happiness Stop

She’s pretty
she shines for him
but he’s in the dark

She takes notice
she feels ugly
she doesn’t shine anymore

Did his happiness stop
when he pulled out?

Only

I remember you
You were me once
and only
twice.

****

Ashtray

I catch your words
like I’m the bowl
your incense ashes fall on

I catch your mind
and whatever I find
like your plate of candle wax

I melt at the sound
of the words I found
like the peppermint in your mouth

I catch your words
like I’m the bowl
your cigarette ashes fall on

Sometimes

You take me so high
sometimes
And you make me feel loved
sometimes
You give me your time
sometimes
When it’s convenient enough
sometimes

You make me feel beautiful
sometimes
And you make me so comfortable
sometimes
And everything’s wonderful
sometimes
And everything’s durable
sometimes

Yet you push me away
sometimes
And you leave me behind
sometimes
Yet you want me to stay
sometimes
And you give me your mind
sometimes

You seem like you’re true
sometimes
And I hate that I love you
all the time

messy living room

In such a messy living room
there seems to be no purpose
watching the local channels
becoming so small

So forgotten in the universe
in this messy living room
Such a spec of dust
amongst
have I become

Inside this little box
peeking through a TV
at the world
beyond the box

And where are you?

My Mold

I felt pain in a lie
I took you in my eye
I gave you a mold
For you to become
To fit in perfect
And to be happy
in your pocket

But I stumbled my toes
(Hit wrong the floor)
And you spilled outside
My hands and my life
Now I only hold
My pitiful mold

I Saw You

I saw you,
your smile inspired
mystical undertow
and your eyes made me question
everything I know
and the long-lost hope
of some real love
flashed in my mind.
What will I find?
Nothing.
Rip my throat out.

****

Eternal Paradox

I look at your face
you are so beautiful
handsome
a face carved by
an artist
You look like Cobain
but you confuse me
and your words
are an eternal
paradox
of oxymorons I try
to grasp
Tell me exactly
what you want
‘Cause if I give you all
and you don’t take it
it’ll be a waste and
I’ll have nothing

****

Better Off

I forgot what it was like
to have you here
listening to everything
you would reluctantly say

I forgot what it was like
to have a curfew
and someone to disappoint
at any time

I forgot what it was like
to tip-toe through your
eggshells
and then cut my feet
on glass

I forgot what it was like
and I’m glad

****

You Left

You left
Now my poems don’t rhyme
Anymore
And my sentences fall
To the floor
You’d pick them up
If you were home

Full potential
With no inspiration
Or time to laugh
Between cries
It’s useless to live in a temple
With no god
The universe without time
You left

Petals of my Daisy

There was a baby with a strawberry
on the petal of my daisy
Distracted by such cute sight
I forgot to find out whether
he loves me or not

Then there was a bird
a bright colored fella
Swimming in the light blue sky
Singing a melody that made me smile
and dance as the daisy
went back in the earth

A tap on my shoulder
My prince’s eyes like the sky
His smile half-made between
the clumsy beard and mustache
And I fell in love
Not knowing
Whether he loved me or not

****

Carry Me

Carry me over the water
That, or you could swim with me
Oh, yeah, teach me how to swim

Carry me over the mountain
That, or you could fly with me
Oh, yeah, teach me how to fly

Carry me out of the pain
That, or you could feel love with me
Oh, yeah, teach me how to love
