The power of Light is not to be underestimated. It can heal. It can help. It can transform. It cannot be diminished.
Light is a form of God, one of the many attributes carried by the One who is in all and is in you. This form we call Light is one of the most powerful strengths because of its transformational powers. Dark becomes Light. It changes everything.
“The Power of Light can change the world,” said Luxana. “It can change you.”
She had not known Light intimately since she was a little child, finding it in flowers and birds. But lately, Light had come calling, to help her in time of need.
“I see You,” she said to the sky as the sun glowed unearthly gold.
“I feel you,” she said, holding out her hands to touch the Light.
“I AM you,” it boomed back in her very soul.

The Power of Light is the greatest power on earth because it carries with it every other divine quality including Love, Peace, Joy, and Healing.
Luxana needed it now. She needed the healing hand of Light in her very soul. She had been hurt and could feel the darkness seeping into her heart. She had to get rid of it. There was no known earthly cure for what she had. This deep depression damaged her soul and it had to be destroyed. Only Light could do that.
“I am the Light,” she said to the Sky. “I AM.”
The Sky opened up even more and poured down its mercy and compassion on its dear child Luxana. It had always been with her, but now she was calling out to feel that power inside her being, to chase out the shadows, to conquer and destroy them.
The shadows had been courting Luxana since she fell in love with a miner, a fellow that worked the mines in her small town in eastern Canada. She had fallen hard. But somehow, as always with Luxana, she had given too much.
“I need to be set free,” she said. “I gave away everything, including my own soul.”
She had fallen hard and now that he was gone, she felt weak, abandoned, lost. She needed Someone to cling to that would not let her down. As a child she had always found healing in the Light. It was everywhere and knew how to touch her responsive soul. But as she grew older and more sophisticated, she had neglected the very thing she needed most. And she wanted it back.
“I need you,” she said to the Light. “Please help me.”
The Light spoke to her. She could not hear it with her ears, but with her heart. It told her it loved her and that she was not alone. It filled her whole being with a sense of peace and joy. There was only the Light. Nothing else mattered.
“Thank you,” she smiled. “I love You. I am Yours.”

A flock of birds flew low across the water, catching the Light on their wings. They flew right over Luxana’s head. She heard the sound of their wings beating, pushing the wind to direct their flight. It felt like a sign.
The Light was with her.
Luxana walked home lighter in her heart. But she knew this was not a one-shot deal. She would have to keep coming back to the Light, reinforcing its presence in her, reminding herself over and over again that Light conquers all, even the darkest feelings. Only then could she eradicate the evil one.
For she knew that shadows were part of the dark plot in the world to win the battle against Light. They could never win, but they kept trying. It was part of the drama of life.
“I guess we can’t hate the darkness,” she thought. “For without it, we would never appreciate the light.”
As the week wore on, Luxana had to keep reminding herself over and over again that Light conquers all. Because, insidiously, the dark one would come, even in her dreams, and try to take that away.
She became vigilant, like a warrior queen fighting the enemy, catching it whenever it tried to sneak up on her.
“Gotcha!” she said as it threw bad thoughts into her head. “Get out!” she shouted.
And she refused to think those thoughts any more. They did no good to anyone. They were messages from the dark side and she would have none of it. She would beat him at his evil game.
Luxana began to meditate whenever she could. She sat quietly and closed her eyes, breathing slowly and gradually letting the mind relax and let go of any thoughts. It was a sense of peace that came in, and she could feel it in her body, her mind and her heart. She knew that the power of Light was in her, doing its work.
Even a few minutes a day seemed to help. It gave her inner strength.
“I am strong in You,” she said. “I am strong in you,” the Light said back to her.
Luxana knew that Light would never let her down. She always needed it to be there and it would transform her whole life into one of gentleness and love. The strife would be ripped out, and replaced by softness and harmony. The devil would find no place in her to live.
Suddenly, Luxana wanted to share with the world what she knew. She wanted to take a huge cup of Light and throw it up in the air and let all the sunlight flutter down like confetti and filter into people’s hearts and illumine their lives.
But she knew that she was just an instrument. She was not the creator of Light, only a medium, and she awaited instructions.
“I surrender to the Light,” she told the sun, the moon, the stars and the sky. “ I am yours to do with whatever you like. If it is your will, use me. Make me a perfect instrument.”
Luxana smiled. This would be given. She knew that some day, as she grew stronger in the Light, she would be able to share it even more. But for now, she was growing, and her own light was getting brighter. The Power of Light had conquered the darkness.
