A Little About This e-Book
The Horizons-Upward Bound (HUB) program is located on the campus of the Cranbrook Educational Community in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. This short collection of poems by the a few of the current HUB students serves as a platform for self-expression, rise to self-agency, and a conduit into the narrative of Detroit and Pontiac, Michigan teens. In addition to being a creative outlet and showcase of student writing skills, Horizons-Upward Bound seeks to expose each student to the ever-changing world of publishing with a focus on digital works.
Represented are the voices of those in their schools, communities, and teens across the country. Volume one is the first of many to come of this bi-annual publication, once in the summer and once in the winter phase. Brought forth from the desire of the Horizons-Upward Bound student body, Ever Onward Under Other Skies is and will remain and student-led initiative from the poem submissions to the actual editing, compiling, and online publishing.
